Role Profile: Technical Recruiter

Trailstone is seeking an in-house recruiter, with a strong background in technology, to lead its global recruitment activity on a full-time, fixed-term basis (12 month contract length anticipated). You will be working as part of a small, energetic HR team, that is global in nature and strives for ‘best in class’ when it comes to the employee and candidate experience. 

Trailstone will continue to undergo positive changes in the coming years, and this is a pivotal moment in our company history. The upcoming year in particular will be a high-growth phase across all departments, particularly the CTO function. This role will play a significant part in driving the business forward and ensuring we are hiring the best people for the company.

The ideal candidate will come from either an in-house or agency background, and will be able to work independently whilst considering themselves an intrinsic member of the HR team. Although technology recruitment will be the focus for the post-holder, they must be willing to manage the wider recruitment function across all departments. Whilst administration and coordination support will be provided, the post-holder must be willing to get stuck into operational and ad-hoc tasks where needed.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be offered a 12 month fixed-term contract, although contract terms may be subject to negotiation, along with scope for the position to become permanent if desired. The post-holder can expect to receive a generous salary and bonus package, commensurate with their talent and experience.


What will you do?

  • Manage, with the support of a HR & Recruitment Coordinator, Trailstone’s recruitment activities including ownership of the Applicant Tracking System, Greenhouse.
  • Work alongside hiring managers to meet their recruitment needs, understanding priorities of each role and maintaining a consistent, best-practice recruitment function across the global team.
  • Source, screen, and interview the candidate pipeline, assessing their suitability for the business and role. Culture is important to us, and new hires should be a ‘culture-add’ not just a technical fit!
  • Provide a positive and seamless end-to-end candidate experience, from initial vacancy advertisement up to offer acceptance.
  • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions for open roles.
  • Identify and harness the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates, including management of company presence on Glassdoor and recruitment agency relationships.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion within the recruitment process.
  • Ad-hoc reporting in relation to recruitment to include but not limited to time to hire, cost per hire, offer acceptance rate, etc.
  • Assist the wider HR team with other duties from time to time.


What do you need?

  • Proven experience in in-house and/or agency recruitment, particularly within technology.
  • Experience and/or exposure to full cycle recruitment in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Experience of managing multiple open vacancies.
  • Recent experience with sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter or other similar tools.
  • Experience of recruiting in at least two of following locations: US, UK, Germany.
  • Applicant Tracking System experience (Greenhouse preferred).

  • Ability to be flexible with working hours to accommodate multiple time zones.
