Senior KYC Analyst 

Location: Berlin | Full-Time Permanent Role 

About the role 

We are looking for a Senior KYC Analyst to join our growing Berlin office. As the Senior KYC Analyst you will be part of a team of professionals working to create a best in class compliance department and compliance culture in the energy industry. In this role you will provide support to the Compliance department and the expanding business of Trailstone by managing the KYC process for all new and existing counterparties and being the primary point of contact for all KYC requests globally, including requests from our new Asia office. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the KYC process for all new and existing counterparties and be the primary point of contact for all incoming KYC requests. 
  • Perform the on-boarding, regular and event-driven review of counterparties. 
  • Conduct Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media screening in accordance with Trailstone’s policies and procedures. 
  • Collect and verify information and documentation obtained from counterparties. 
  • Proactively manage the onboarding process to ensure it is completed in a timely manner. 
  • Liaise with business owners and management to clarify, investigate, escalate and resolve issues as they arise. 
  • Document outcomes of due diligence and investigations. 

About you: 

This person will be managing the KYC process for all new and existing counterparties and the primary point of contact for all incoming requests. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following: 

 

Requirements: 

  • A University degree in Business, Law, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with performing counterparty (KYC) due diligence in a bank, commodity trading house or similar. 
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Effective Internet and research skills. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Fluent English language skills (both written and verbal). Other language skills are desirable but not essential.
