  • Provide comprehensive Application Support for all Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) applications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all BAU system issues including custom inhouse software and vendor solutions.
  • Effectively record and monitor progress of all issues raised, providing feedback to the business users as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external I.T teams to resolve cross system issues.
  • Ensure that best practices are applied to system support, upgrades, testing and procedures at all times.


  • Substantive, verifiable experience of providing face to face Application Support.
  • Ability to work with demanding users in a pressurized and fast paced trading environment.
  • Be accountable and own issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to do shift work as needed. Weekend and out of hours cover.
  • Ability to communicate across different levels of the business (for example, trading desks and development team members).
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation and upskill colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of change control processes.
  • Solid time management and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple work streams at any one time.

Technical Skills:

  • Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) software experience.
  • Microsoft Windows client and server.
  • Software installation and configuration.
  • Understanding of Commodities.
  • Openlink Endur exposure.
  • Microsoft SQL Server skills (SQL, stored procedures, debugging).


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
