East Power Term Trader

Austin Office | Hybrid Working | Full-Time Permanent Role 

About the Role 

We are looking for an East Power Term Trader to join our growing Austin, TX office. This individual will create value through analyzing and understanding the market and will collaborate with a team to design, develop and implement Trailstone’s East Power Term portfolio. The trader is expected to meet the annual financial plan for the portfolio as well as deploying risk in a profitable manner while adhering to internal risk limits.

This will be a full-time permanent role owning the following responsibilities: 

Responsibilities: 

Manage a high-performing, profitable portfolio of power and natural gas instruments within the company’s risk policies.

Collaborate with other stakeholders to build a fix price view to support short term trading opportunities as well as longer term strategic efforts.

Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of prior experience working on a trading floor and team.

• Extensive knowledge of PJM/MISO Energy Markets and the power grid.

• Attractive trading track-record and portfolio performance.

• Strong work ethic and determination to add immediate value.
