About the Role 

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our growing Austin office. This role will sit in the Trailstone Compliance team, acting as the sole interface for the Trailstone North American business on all Compliance matters.  

This will be a full-time role in the Trailstone Compliance team, owning the following responsibilities: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Compliance matters in North America.  
  • Provide compliance advice and assistance to the business and support functions. 
  • Coordinate with other support functions (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Security, etc.) to implement compliance initiatives. 
  • Assist with the onboarding of new joiners and offboarding of leavers. 
  • Develop and conduct Compliance training.  
  • Review and advise on new business transactions. 
  • Assist with monitoring and clearing trade surveillance alerts. 
  • Assist with monitoring of internal communications to ensure they are in line with Trailstone Compliance Policies. 
  • Assist with the collection and preparation of presentations for monthly and ad-hoc meetings.  
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory requests, inquiries, and audits – CFTC, FERC, CME, ICE, ISO’s, NERC and SEC 
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings. 
  • Ensure that all compliance policies and procedures are appropriately documented, updated and available for reference. 

 

About You: 

  • A University degree in Business, Law, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • Significant experience in a compliance role, or other similar capacity in the energy industry. 
  • Good understanding of CFTC, FERC, CME, ICE, ISO’s, NERC and SEC rules. 
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Effective Internet and research skills. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Fluent English language skills (both written and verbal). Other language skills are desirable but not essential.
