Senior Renewable Certificate Portfolio Manager

London or Berlin Office | Full-Time Role | Office-based role, with flexibility   

 

About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior Renewable Certificates Portfolio Manager to join our growing Global Certificates team. You will be an integral driving force for this part of the business, working closely with our origination, regulatory affairs, trading, quant, risk and credit teams.  

This role can be based in either our London or Berlin office and will be mostly office-based. Due to the nature of this role, we are unable to support a fully remote hire. This will be a full-time role, owning the following responsibilities: 

• You will manage the growing Certificates trading business, leveraging Trailstone’s existing presence in renewable markets 
• You will price and manage a portfolio of Certificates across Europe and have an in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of the different country policies, transfer rules, auctions, and registry details 
• You will bear PNL responsibility for your portfolio including daily position management, risk and performance monitoring. 
• You will stay on top of market developments and contribute to the development of our renewable certificate platform. 
• Manage interfaces with other teams to ensure efficient workflows. 

 

About You 

This person will be a proactive and pragmatic problem solver with a strong bias for action. To be successful in this role, we require someone with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following: 

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in engineering, mathematics, economics or related fields. 
• Substantive, demonstrable working experience in renewable certificate markets. 
• Strong understanding of certificate markets in Europe and the UK. 
• Programming experience is preferred. 
• Strong quantitative, commercial and communication skills. 
• Fluent English language skills. 
• Set yourself apart with a strong, tangible interest in the green revolution.
