About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior ETRM Business Analyst to join our growing Austin office. This role will sit in our Technology Team; a small but international department that offers an immediate tangible impact on our business and global exposure from day one. This hire will be joining at an exciting time as our new ETRM landscape is currently being scoped and your input will be crucial for the success of the new platform.

This will be a full-time role owning the following responsibilities: 

  • Being the key contact for all global based ETRM initiatives, whether BAU or special projects.
  • Stakeholder management of Front Office to Back Office users; working closely to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Acting as a SME for Trailstone’s ETRM Road Map, designing and orchestrating landscape strategy across the company.
  • Managing L3 Production Support issues and being able to shift priorities at short notice.
  • Developing project plans, managing project scope, prioritizing requests and proactively resolving issues.

  

About You 

This person will be experienced with energy trading & risk management solutions, able to successfully collaborate with Front-to-Back office stakeholders. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following: 

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) Front-to-Back business processes; including trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting. 
  • Skilled in turning business requirements into technical solutions; often delivering projects with tight deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial and Physical North American Power and Gas Markets.
  • US or EU Renewables Trading knowledge is a big plus.
  • Strong experience working in an agile techno-functional environment. 
  • Comfortable in a start-up environment with less structure than many banks and large corporations.       
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate successfully and work autonomously. 

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive application domain knowledge within ETRM space is a must, preferably OpenLink Endur.
  • Experience in designing in-house ETRMs or migrating to different ETRMs is highly desirable.
  • Competent Scripter – Lightweight JVS/Java Development for OpenLink Endur.
  • Strong working experience with T-SQL (SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Substantial working experience with Python.
  • Substantial working experience with REST APIs.
